SEEDING PROGRAM 
 

Drill Information:

Martin SWCD can handle all your seeding needs – if you are enrolling into a conservation program.  We currently have two traux drills and a vicon seeder:
  • A six foot no-till drill for the small jobs such as grass waterways or small filterstrips,
  • A ten foot drill for the larger sites,
  • A vicon broadcast seeder to handle the largest sites specifically for custom seeding (contact our office for more details). 

 

Rental Information:

You can rent one of our drills, or have us custom seed your site with our vicon seeder.  Martin SWCD can order the seed for your site as well.  If you are interested in renting a drill or contracting with the SWCD to do a custom seeding, you can stop into our office or call us at 507-235-6680. 

 

Rate Information:

Rental of Drill in Martin County: 

  • $8.00 an acre with a $50.00 minimum

Rental of Drill Outside Martin County:
  • $10.00 an acre with a $75.00 minimum

Custom Seeding In Martin County:
  • $25.00 an acre with a $150.00 minimum
Custom Seeding Outside Martin County:
  • $30.00 an acre with a $180.00 minimum
