Meeting called to order by Chair Petrowiak at 8:00 a.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance
Members present: Duane Petrowiak – Chair, Steve Flohrs, Wendell Rode, and Darwin Roberts
Members absent: Linda Meschke
Others present: Kathy Smith - District Manager; Cathy Thiesse, Technician and Administrative Assistant, and Tim Peterson, CWP.
Additions to the Agenda
New Business:
1) Personnel Issues
A motion was made by Flohrs to accept the additions to the Agenda second by Roberts. Affirmative: Rode, Flohrs, Roberts. Opposed: None. Motion Carried.
GBERBA Cost-Share Contract Payment Approval
CWP #61-09 Butler Farms Grassed Waterway $7870.60 Due - 21% of Project Cost – FY 2009
Total Project Cost: $37,495.00
GBERBA Funds: $6675.75
CWP Funds: $7870.60
Landowner Cost: $9373.75
A motion was made by Roberts to approve payment of contract CWP #61-09 in the amount of $7870.60 and to approve funds being submitted to GBERBA on this project second by Rode. Affirmative: Rode, Flohrs, Roberts. Opposed: None. Motion Carried.
CWP Cost-Share Contract Payments Approval
CWP #62-09 Gerald Lorenz Alternative Easement $13,770.00 Requested – FY 2009
Total Project Cost: $13,770.00
A motion was made by Rode to encumber $13,770.00 for contract CWP #62-09 second by Flohrs. Affirmative: Rode, Flohrs, Roberts. Opposed: None. Motion Carried.
Rain Gardens
A motion was made by Rode to add a $400.00 to rain garden contracts for Operations and Maintenance of each project for a three year period or until established second by Roberts. Discussion followed regarding the original policy and that cost-share assistance will remain at $750 which is based on a maximum of $1000.00 per project for the rain garden and $400 for maintenance. If the project is less than $1000.00 the cost-share cannot exceed 75% of the total cost, whichever is less. Affirmative: Rode, Flohrs, Roberts. Opposed: None. Motion Carried.

Personnel Issues
Smith discussed with the Board about hiring a temporary position to help with tree planting and other spring projects as needed. A motion was made by Rode to proceed with hiring a temporary employee for up to 120 hours. The rate of pay for this temporary position will be between $10.00 and $12.00 per hour second by Flohrs. Affirmative: Rode, Flohrs, Roberts. Opposed: None. Motion Carried.
A motion was made by Roberts to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 am second by Flohrs.
