District Conservationist Report

EQIP   (Environmental Quality Incentive Program)
  • EQIP signup is November 1 - November 30, 2007
  • Docket has not changed much.  The biggest change is that payments are now called "Conservation Practice Payments" instead of cost share payment.
 
CSP    (Conservation Security Program)
  • 2008 payments can now be made.
  • Certified letters went out in the mail this week asking for producers to set times for payment interviews.
  • All CSP payments need to be paid by February 1, 2008.
  • There will be no more modifications for 2004 Tier 1 contracts.
 
CRP   (Conservation Reserve Program)
  • FSA has been told that we cannot accept CCRP applications after December 1st until they know what is included in  the new farm bill.
 
Wetlands
  • 36 wetland determinations have been made for FY 2008
